The ACT Filmmakers' Network is a not-for-profit Screen Development Agency (SDA) that promotes independent film and media production in the ACT. The Network supports the dynamic ACT screen community, which includes emerging practitioners through to professional independents. The Network functions as a hub for education, training and development along with skills and knowledge sharing enabling members to meet, exchange ideas, collaborate and view works.

OUR GOALS

  • Support independent and developing filmmakers in the ACT.
  • Support practitioners to develop professional screen opportunities and careers.
  • Provide networking opportunities and information for independent filmmakers.
  • Build strong working relationships with other screen organisations in the ACT and nationally.
  • Be the first point of contact in the ACT for screen practitioners.

"I am thrilled that my first film was a finalist in the 2009 FAT Awards

(CIT). It would have not been possible without the support I received from

the ACTFMN and particularly Kris Kerehona who assisted me during the editing

of my film. I highly recommend the Network to any filmmaker or aspiring one".
